Trust and law
JobiQ handles people's working lives. These are the rules we hold ourselves to and the laws we work within.
Consent first
Nothing about a candidate is processed until they give two separate, unticked consents: one to process their data and one to review the public accounts they share. Each consent is stored with its exact text, version and time. Withdrawing takes one step in the app: the profile leaves every Field immediately and personal data is deleted within 30 days.
Open profiles, protected facts
Profiles are open to members by name, with employers and contact details, because a professional network should let people find each other. Nationality and date of birth are collected only because UAE employment law requires them. They are never shown on a profile, never used in matching, and reach an employer only after the candidate accepts an introduction. Religion is never collected. These rules are enforced by the database and tested.
Fair matching
The distance function reads the work, the proof, the budget and the candidate's own preferences. It does not read nationality, age, gender or appearance, and the AI that writes the reasons for each position never sees names or photos.
UAE labour law
Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 places recruitment costs on the employer and forbids charging workers, so candidates never pay JobiQ. Recruitment for a fee contingent on a hire requires a licence from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation; JobiQ does not charge such fees and is paid by employer subscription.
Electronic signatures
Employers appoint JobiQ as their hiring service through an electronically signed mandate under Federal Decree-Law No. 46 of 2021 on electronic transactions and trust services. Each signature is stored with the document version, a fingerprint of its text, the signer, the time and the origin. No paper or stamp is needed.
Data protection
JobiQ processes personal data on the basis of consent under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the protection of personal data, and will adopt the Executive Regulations as soon as they are issued.
AI, honestly
During the pilot, JobiQ runs on free tiers of commercial AI services that may use inputs to improve their models. Testers are told this before they start, and we ask them not to upload anything they would not want a third party to read. Before the public launch we move to paid tiers that do not train on your data, or tell everyone plainly if we have not.
Security
Row-level access rules on every table, private file storage with short-lived links, keys kept server-side, file-type checks on uploads, sign-in by one-time code, and an audit log of every state change.
This page describes JobiQ's practices. It is not legal advice, and it will be reviewed by UAE counsel before the public launch.
